To maintain your car battery in optimal condition, it is necessary to ensure that the electrolyte level of the battery is kept at an appropriate level; i.e. between the MIN and HIGH level markings on the battery casing. In the case of ’maintenance-free’ batteries, regular checking and topping up of electrolyte is not necessary. Besides checking the electrolyte level, the battery also requires to be recharged on a regular basis. This is especially true if the car is minimally utilised, the battery does not get to be recharged through the car’s built-in charging system. Hence, an external source, such as a portable battery charger is required.
Unidentified brand- there are lots of product especially charger in the market with no brand name. This is very risky to buy, because you do not know where this charger comes from. It is important to look for chargers with established grand name to prevent any kind of fraud.
By having one of these units you will not have to bother with that, as it will continuously keep charging your battery for your entire fishing trip. You can also use solar trickle chargers during the winter months, so that your batteries are always charged up and ready to go. Over the winter months, many people remove the batteries from their motorboats, ATVs and other vehicles they may not be using.
