The regular automobile battery can hold around 50 amp hours, while a marine battery may store 100 amp hours. Both kinds of batteries furnish 12 volts of electricity; however, if entirely dead, they will recharge for different quantities of time with a charger that carries 10 amps, say six to eleven hours, respectively. Be sure that the automobile battery charger you are purchasing has enough charging power to satisfy your requirements. If a charger has more power, the time that it will take to get your battery up to speed will be less.
Most cars, today, are equipped with automatic transmissions. This compounds the situation of a drained battery as compared to a car fitted with a manual transmission. In the case of the latter, it is still possible to ’push start’ the car with the assistance of your passengers or passing traffic, if any. In the case of the former, ’push starting’ the car is not possible. The only alternative is to obtain an external electrical power source.
This is particularly handy for those moments where you need to quick recharge your cellphone. Two types of this product we have in stock is the Mo-Go emergency mobile phone and the Movable Emergency Charger. The great thing about these kinds of chargers is that it only needs standard alkaline batteries to work and may be clipped away onto your key ring. Its really straightforward to use, all you need to do is plug the charger into your mobile phone and you may be able to make or receive phone calls!
Many of the car chargers are running with the 12 volts basis. If you want to get one, you have to search carefully. There are plenty of reviews on the usefulness of the 12V car battery chargers. You should take the time to search and read through the comments of some users. These users should have tried the products before.
If the vehicle is not to be operated over a period of more than a month, disconnect the battery terminals. This will minimize the discharge rate and prevent the battery from self-discharging
